However, you'll need four different position modifier cards for this, since for each position change there is also one sufficient position change card. In FIFA 23, many position modifier cards were reduced to a single position modifier card, as many FUT player cards were assigned to alternative positions to their primary positions. The OP winger can usually play all positions on the wing, preferably on both ends of the pitch. Starting this season, players only need to adjust the position adjustment card, which can be used for any position adjustment.

Hard to imagine what a FUT would look like without position changes? Perhaps this is what EA is trying to prevent with the player's fixed position.
